Alison Doody
Alison Doody, born in Dublin 1966 to a privileged family. Doody is the youngest of three. While in a convent, she discovered an interest in arts. Later, she studied at in the National College of Fine Arts of Dublin but quit because she had a lack of motivation. She thought that she'd stop for a time to make sure she got her bearings. While in a cafe with friends when she was approached by a still photographer who wanted to know if she'd want to do a modeling. As she was convinced she could make some pocket money from modeling, she agreed. She soon found modeling to be profitable and enjoyable. Modeling contracts lead to commercials and she travelled the globe. After watching her performance and being urged to try modeling. The director sent her to London aged 19 and was quickly selected for an audition to appear in the upcoming James Bond film, A View to a Kill (1985). The actress was so enthralled by acting, she worked in this direction. Following her debut film and a short film, she filmed a couple of TV shows in London and in Dublin, but her big break came when she was cast as Aryan lover Dr. Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989).
