The debut album of Gaga's in 2008 "The Fame" was met with only minimal media coverage. Gaga went on tour throughout Europe and the US to promote her album. But it was not until her 2009 smash 'Just Dance that mainstream attention was paid to her music. Gaga suffered a labral tear on her right hip which she was nursing for several weeks with the hopes that she would be able continue her tour. The singer was unable walk after a concert in Toronto and was in extreme pain. The tour was cancelled.
